Veggie Plants for 2013

I failed to plant seeds this year for the 2013 veggie season and decided to purchase plants from Streambank Gardens.

I bought tomatoes (‘San Marzano’ & ‘Roma’), broccoli, cauliflower, celery and brussel sprout plants.

I also bought seed from Burpee’s

Seeds purchased: Spinach, snap peas, carrots, beets, pole beans, dill, cucumbers. I also bought some garlic, a first time try for me.

I have saved some seeds from my cantaloupes last year. They were ‘single serving sized’ and very sweet. I dried these and hope I preserved them well enough to grow this season.

I grow organically & use IPM techniques. More adventures to come in the “My Haus” section.
