Succulent Plant Display Terrarium

I had to go to Home Depot for some things and can’t not go through the plant section. I found these three lil guys. From left to right;

  • Crassula ‘Caput Minima’
  • Sedum nussbaumerianum
  • Hawthorhia fasciata – zebra plant.

The glass succulent bowl was a gift from my brother and his girlfriend. Since no one is perfect… I killed the plants they originally gave me with the bowl… I figured I’d give myself 1 more chance with these 3. May God have mercy on their souls! I teased out the roots and used a very light sandy soil. These arrangements should stay on the dry side, only watering lightly when necessary.

  1. I love succulents! I’m visiting my mom in Arizona right now and love going on hikes – prickly pear everywhere. I have two tiny cacti at home in Oregon that I nurse thru the Winter and Spring – moving them from window to window for what little sun we get. (Cacti and succulents are the same thing, aren’t they? I’m not even sure!)

    • Good day Alli,
      Thanks for the comment. I have another couple ‘o cacti in my east kitchen window, they are doing well with little care… right up my alley! =-)
      I had to laugh when I found out prickly pears are native in the sandy shores of Illinois State beach. It’s funny to see them in snow!
      Oh, botanically cacti are succulents but not all succulents are cacti. =-)
