My Fall Hodge-Podge Leftover Pot

A bonus for working at a landscape company is I get all the leftovers! Well, I do have to share between the owners wife and the maintenance manager (MM). But, the wife will usually order her own and leave the spoils to both me and the MM. I just take what I think looks cool and hope it will all come together when I get home.

Just like in my Spring and Summer container posts, don’t forget your Thriller, Filler and Spiller.

This is what was left over from my summer pot. The only thing that looked good was the potato vine. I removed all the dead stuff and prepared the pot for total FALL domination!

I started with the center and worked my way out. Remember, these plants are NOT going to grow any more, so don’t leave any space. A tip to help fit more plants in, with minimal damage to the roots: squeeze the rootball from the sides to make it smaller. These are SERIOUSLY smashed in there!!

Add some dry eucalyptus, oak leaves, peppers, and sticks.

Display where you are sure to get many compliments!
