Spring Blooming Flowers 5-4-2014

Opposed to how it feels to me, things are progressing about the same as last spring.

I will always provide a link to the last year’s post of ‘Blooming Flowers’, just to compare the blooming times of the different species.

To me, it has actually felt to have warmed up faster than last year. I planted most of my veggie garden last Saturday (May 3). In 2013, it was planted June 1st. Almost a month ahead of time. Yes, I may need to tarp in case of frost, however, the trend tells me it may not get hot, but it won’t freeze either.

Magnolia stellata – Star Magnolia

Errr. Got me already!

My neighbors garden – So pretty!!

Scilla Siberica – Siberian Squill or Wood Squill

Viola papilionacea – Wild Violet

Dandelion! Taraxacum officinale

Hyacinth – So smelly!

Has anyone else been having trouble with their captions not working? I enter them, save, yet they still disappear. Frustrating!!

  3. Your flowers are lovely and I envy all the different spring bulbs. I only have a few iris, some Louisiana iris and some snow drops that need replanting.

I don’t know about captions since I’ve not posted in so long.

For body aches soak in a hot tub of Epson salts (use plenty of salts) for 20-30 minutes or more if you like. It works. You’ve nothing to lose except a few cents and the salts you can put in planting holes since it’s good food for the plants. I use it all the time.
