Silphium pinnatifidum – Cutleaf Rosinweed, Cutleaf Prairie Dock or Tansy Rosinweed. Rosinweeds look similar to sunflowers, but the seeds form from the ray flowers in rosinweeds, and from the disk flowers in sunflowers.

      Alas no, all of these photos are from wherever I saw them. Some from my yard, others from others yards and then there’s the one’s I pulled over (as best I can
      ) off the road, run out to take a photo while getting honked at by folks who don’t appreciate nature and just want to get past me…. 😉
