  1. Great photos again. I have some catnip but it is a different kind. The blooms are not as showy as yours. I’ve tried growing the kind that looks kike yours and I had no luck at all. The one I grow each year comes back from the root and also self seeds just about anywhere. I give my cats fresh leaves about twice weekly. Oftener than that and they pay no attention.

    • Cardinals are so elusive! Not like dive – bomb Mom Robin! They go silent when I get near the nest. I only know they are cardinals because if the calls.
      I just hope it wasn’t a cow bird that switched its egg for it. 😯

      • Oh man, that would be a bummer. Interestingly though Cowbirds have some beautiful song & displays. I do know what you mean about Robins as I saw one a couple weeks ago chasing a Chipmunk around my neighbor’s roof (there’s a Lilac tree right up next to the house.
