  1. I’ve been fighting a nightshade battle in the backyard – I don’t mind it, because the flowers and berries are so pretty, but I worry that one of the nieces or nephews has a Hunger Games moment with them and we get a trip to the emergency room.

  2. it’s the best time of the year for midwestern plants – especially flowers and gardens. nice photos…soon we’ll be cutting things back and raking leaves…..for now I’ll focus on the color.
