  1. What lovely flowers, Ilex. It’s mid-winter here and not much in the way of flowers around here, although I bought myself a bunch of orchids today known as Dancing Lady Orchids:
I want to photograph them against a bright blue sky. Hopefull the sky will oblige…or the ocean.
I always think of you when I see great plants and flowers.
Hope you’re having a great week.

    • Thank you! 😘
I love orchids! Have a couple of basic ones, nothing fancy like yours!
I’m sure they would photograph quite nicely with the sky as a background. Yes, don’t know how your weather had been, but here we may be building arks soon!

  2. AWESOME PHOTOS as always!!! I have taken a few photos of some wild flowers here I don’t remember seeing before. Sometimes driving along the highway I notice a plant flowering. I feel like I need to always have my camera with me. GREAT POST!

  3. The Tree of Heaven is now in my yard, It came up in, what is mostly gravel along the asphalt driveway. I had not idea what is was and decided that it was probably a trash tree- meaning bad for the home owner and probably invasive,.Thank you for including it here. I recognized the leaves. This one literally appeared over night- I just did not see it last year as a young sapling. It surely grows fast and I will be sure to get whacked.

All the plants are great but my favorite is the tree with the orange fungus or lichens. I think it is beautiful.

    • Thank you!
Yes, I had one pop up and it was 6′ tall after I turned my back! They grow so fast! I recently saw one someone had smack dab in their front lawn… all nicely manicured. It actually looked really nice. Clearly, they didn’t know what they had, but loved it anyway.
What really cracks me up sometimes, is when someone has a nicely manicured buckthorn in the front yard. 🤤 Ouch!
