Happy New Year!

My type of fireworks! See all the colors? Georgia allows fireworks. We’re getting a free show from all the neighbors.
Downside.. the boys are freaking out. Breck is in the pooper, Oreo is under the table.  ๐Ÿ˜ณ Why do more folks like the boomers over the Ahhh pretty ones?

I’ve Been Qualified!!

2012-06-23 13.26.23Good day Dear Followers!!

I wanted to share my excitement of passing my exam for becoming a Qualified Tree Risk Assessment Arborist!! The test wasn’t horrible,ย passing was 75% and I pulled off an 89%. I had studied hard with my study-buddies. =-)

And just to add on to the excitement of the day, it’s National Dress Your Pet Day! I can’t say that I dress by guys in anything but necessary wear (coats), howeverย I have had some times reading about poor Choppy and what her Mom dresses her in!!

Enjoy your day & I’ll see you in the reader =-)

Obnoxious Dog Ball From Hell – Its Baaaaack!

This crazy, squeaky ball will not die. I thought over the winter this ball would disappear. However, Breck just unearthed it from the snow today. He brought it into the house to thaw, as it was frozen solid. I told my husband that we need to remove it before it thaws and in less that 3 seconds it expelled its first squeak. Out it went.

Daa-daa-daa…..DADA! Think 2001: A Space Odyssey. ๐Ÿ˜‰

50 Shades of Grey – Doggie Style

So, I think I may have shocked a few of my regulars and sparked a few new followers with this one. Yes, I did say you must follow me…..

I’m curious how much traffic the smutty title draws in.

Happy Friday to you all!

PS! I was a bad writer. Bad. In my post last Monday, “Doggy Bag“, I neglected to report where my Bro got these: Annie’s Pooch Pops. They ship & they have very reasonable prices. I’d highly recommend these for your pooch!

We’re West Bound and Down, Loaded Up and Truckin’

We’re on our way to Denver,  Colorado.
I learned how to do a screen shot!

If you don’t understand the post title, watch this.

We’re listening to my husband’s favorite Christmas movie,  ‘Elf’.
Sadly, for our safety.. The movie only plays the audio. However, we’ve seen it so much, we can visualize.

Photo taken while in park.

Merry Christmas! ๐Ÿ˜€

My Little Angels and The Neighboring Devils

Ryder and Buford

My neighbors are a pair of bloodhounds, Buford and Ryder. They are very large boys at about 150 pounds a piece. Buford is five, Ryder is two. Buford’s dad was the Guinness Book of World Records ‘Longest Ears on a Dog’ at almost 14″ or 34cm each!

Thank goodness they own the chew toy fence. Their daddy had to go aaaaall the around with an extra board and nail it to e v e r y board, as these guys have come through the fence a few times. We’ve even had to prop it up in a few spots.

They are diggers also!

Ready? Ready? GO!

Oreo and Buford go way back. They have some odd Hatfieldโ€“McCoy feud going on. Up and down the fence they race, barking and smashing their faces into the openings. I get it. Oreo is thinking, “This is my yard. There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life….”

That is a mug only a mother can love.

Breck doesn’t get the whole fascination of running the fence.

Happy Halloween!!

Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!!

Devil & Angel Dogs

I used to be pretty crazy when I dressed up for Halloween. I loved playing dress-up! I even got a local T.V. station to air my cohorts and I (as the Three Blind Mice) saying, “Good Day Tampa Bay!” It was about 6 seconds of my allotted 15 seconds of fame.

Three Blind Mice

Halloween now is completely different from when I grew-up. When I was a small child, we would get many homemade treats like caramel apples, popcorn balls, brownies, and rice crispy treats. We ran from house to house, filling our pillowcases with enough sugar to off 100 diabetics.

Then there was the one asshole that put a razor blade in an apple. Boom, no more homemade treats, everything must be store-bought, prepackaged candy. That was OK by us kids, surely dentists were happy! We weren’t allowed to snack until Mom & Dad looked at all of our candy and pulled out their favorites.. The price of being a child… Harrumph!

Then there was the sicko that lured a small boy into his house. Boom, no more trick or treating without an adult. Those old folks can’t keep-up to make one night of treating worth going. That’s when all the parties started. Many park districts, libraries, and churches started having gatherings where candy and activities were in abundance. I was getting a bit too old to trick or treat at this point.

Then… There was the innocent peanut, store-bought, prepackaged candy bar at the church party that caused a child to go into anaphylactic shock. Boom, no more candy OF ANY KIND, as many children are allergic to peanuts, dairy, soy, chocolate, malt, eggs, gluten… the list goes on. Now, small toys are exchanged.

Then we switch over to the adult world of Halloween. Costumes used to be clever, well-thought-out and home-made. Now it seems the only thing on girls minds is how slutty they can pull off hot cop, hot pirate, hot nurse or hot construction worker. Even the most modest girl can’t help herself as it’s the one night they have an excuse to dress like a whore.

I wonder how long we’ll continue to celebrate this Celtic origin celebration. I loved the fun of it all, however now it just seems like just another day.

I can’t leave this post on a sour note, so here are some poor, tortured dogs to laugh at!

Sunday Funnies!

‘Happy’ by Pharrell William has become a favorite song of mine. I almost thought it couldn’t get any better until found it playing along with a video of dogs (and a cat) on the beach.

I copied the back story below it from the you tube page. I sure wish this guy closer to me, I’d love to have my boys train with him. Please subscribe to him, he has many other fun animal videos to check out!!

Inspired by Pharrell William’s International “Happy” Hit! Lot’s of dogs and a cat playing at the beach. Special appearance from “DIDGA” aka ‘Worlds BEST Skateboarding Cat’

Story behind this video:
After a dog graduates my off leash training program, I’ll offer a “doggy outing service”. I pick up the dogs (usually between 8-12 dogs), take them to dog beaches or other dog friendly places, let them play together, while continuing to practice the training they’ve learned. I’ll rinse off any sand, trim their nails (if needed), then take them home. 2 1/2 year old Didga, aka ‘Worlds Best Skateboarding Cat’, who I adopted from the shelter at 13 weeks old has been joining us on the outings her whole life. Especially being a part of the group photos or videos I make. A GoPro camera was used for all the shots for this “Happy” video.

When I’m not on the group outings, Didga still joins me everywhere and loves riding in the car, at times she is very “dog like” sticking her head out the window as we drive down the road, riding on my stand-up paddle board or enjoying a little swim. Most cats don’t like being in water, BUT when she was young she didn’t react too negatively to water, so I took on a HUGE challenge of ‘desensitising’ her even more to the water. FYI – It was several months of patience and dedication to achieve what you see in the video. I’m a professional animal trainer so PLEASE don’t try getting your cat to swim at home.

Although I don’t make any money directly from this video because I used the “Happy” song, I couldn’t think of any other song that goes so perfectly with the – HAPPY DOGS!”

Thanks for the Likes, comments (I read them), shares and SUBSCRIBING. Check out my other videos, (6+ million views) I’m just getting started, so more videos on the way.

Thanks, Robert And Didga
